Valorization potential of technical lignins from Norway spruce (Picea abies) via pyrolysis

چکیده
Analytical pyrolysis (Py-GC/MS) on mg-scale of Norway spruce (Picea abies)-derived kraft lignin, ethanosolv and dried lignin-rich soda-anthraquinone (AQ) black liquors was studied at 500 °C to compare the valorization potential these materials, focusing type yield condensable products. Of particular interest relatively selective formation guaiacol (2-methoxyphenol) from soda-AQ in contrast complex phenolic product mixtures lignins. It shown that this finding could be attributed differences composition structure as assessed by various NMR 2D-GC/FID analyses. From a comparison between analytical results spruce-derived oils were produced earlier research with state-of-the-art kg-scale bubbling fluidized bed reactor, it concluded is suitable predict behavior lignin also larger scale. However, found prediction reliable yields for larger-scale semi-quantitative less accurate, mainly due process conditions, such heating rate hot-vapor-residence times leading secondary degradation reaction individual monomers.

Development in Norway Spruce, Picea abies'
A pulse-treatment of embryos of Picea abies (L.) Karst with cytokinin efficiently and reproducibly induces the coordinate de novo formation of bud primordia from subepidermal cells. The cytokinin treatment also affects the germinative development of the embryo; chloroplast maturation is delayed, and cell elongation is completely suppressed. We have analyzed the protein patterns in developing sp...
متن کاملCell Wall-Bound Phenolics from Norway Spruce (Picea abies) Needles
Secondary products, such as phenolics, accumulate predominantly in the form of hydrophilic conjugates in the vacuoles (intraprotoplasmic storage) of plants [1—3]. Also there are many reports on their extraprotoplasmic location, e.g. as exudates [4] or cell wall components. The latter include the polymer lignin [5], as well as monomeric hydrolyzable phenolics, which are mainly hydroxycinnamic ac...

After performing de novo transcript assembly of >1 billion RNA-Sequencing reads obtained from 22 samples of different Norway spruce (Picea abies) tissues that were not surface sterilized, we found that assembled sequences captured a mix of plant, lichen, and fungal transcripts. The latter were likely expressed by endophytic and epiphytic symbionts, indicating that these organisms were present, ...
متن کاملAccumulation of ammonium in Norway spruce (Picea abies) seedlings measured by in vivo 14N-NMR.
(14)N-NMR and (31)P-NMR have been used to monitor the in vivo pH in roots, stems, and needles from seedlings of Norway spruce, a typical ammonium-tolerant plant. The vacuolar and cytoplasmic pH measured by (31)P-NMR was found to be c. pH 4.8 and 7.0, respectively, with no significant difference between plants growing with ammonium or nitrate as the N-source. The (1)H-coupled (14) NH 4+ resonanc...
